Vacancy for District Commissioner, Perth and Kinross District

Scouting offers challenge and adventure to 400,000 young people across the UK. We are currently seeking a new District Commissioner to assist in the development and growth of Scouting in Perth and Kinross District.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead the District forward and ensure that we continue to deliver quality Scouting to the young people throughout Perth and Kinross.

As District Commissioner you’ll be directly responsible for supporting and managing your team of Group Scout Leaders, as well as managing Deputy and Assistant District Commissioners.

You’ll receive direct support from your line manager, Regional Commissioner (East Scotland Region), as well as support staff and volunteers from Scottish Headquarters and your District Chairman and District Executive.

The District Commissioner is a volunteer role, with full reimbursement of expenses incurred. Management experience is essential.

 

Scouting experience?

This might be an opportunity to move into a strategic role and use your frontline experience to motivate and lead.

 

No Scouting experience?

This is an opportunity to use your management skills in one of the key voluntary organisations working with all young people.
